Hong Kong has become the new playground for Michelin-starred chefs. Behind this modern Spanish restaurant is Michelin-starred chef Alejandro Sánchez. We didn’t order many dishes here because we weren’t that hungry but the dishes we got were all very good.

Chorizo with Foam (Complimentary)
Forgot the foam flavor but it was fruity and slightly bitter. I didn’t like the foam element that much because it tasted empty. I hope this isn’t an experimental dish they are thinking about offering as an official appetizer.

Seasonal greens salad with smoked free range chicken breast, homemade mushroom pickles, sesame dressing (HKD$139)
My friend and I got this salad as a filler for the sake of eating something green. The dressing was rich and made the salad hearty but not heavy. The chicken was sliced very thinly and easy to eat. I liked this but it wasn’t absolutely necessary.

Slow-cooked canadian black cod, spanish miso sauce, fideua (HKD$269)
The cod was simply wonderful and cooked just right. Cod in miso sauce is a great dish in general and I have a tendency to gravitate towards it if I see it on a menu. My exceptionally picky friend thoroughly enjoyed this. I definitely recommend this.

Mesa 15 Hong Kong

Duck confit cannelloni with foie gras and porcini mushrooms (HKD$179)
Everything was rolled in a pasta sheet with melted cheese on top. Needless to say, this was ultra rich and fatty. Good if you are in the mood for something dense.
