In addition to Lady M, The Plaza Food Hall also houses FP Patisserie by French pastry chef Francois Payard. There is a very staple dessert selection here and I will definitely be back to eat my way through the case.

Raspberry Lychee Macaron Tart ($6.50)
I don’t like raspberries and wasn’t going to get this but I wanted to at least try a bite. My friend on the other hand loves raspberries so she humored me and got this. Aside from the unfortunate raspberry aspect, I liked the texture of the macaron shell and the light cream filling. If we pretend I like raspberries for a second, I would recommend this. My friend certainly liked it.

Dulce Crème Brûlée Tart ($6.50)
This is an almond tart shell filled with dulce de leche ganache and vanilla bean bavarois with candied almonds on top. It tastes as good as it sounds. It is a heavier dessert compared to the macaron tart.

Vanilla bean bavarois layer (top), dulce de leche layer (middle), and almond shell (bottom). The key is to get the entire cross-section in one bite. Simply a perfect mix of sweetness. I will be back for this.

Violet Cassis Macaron ($2.25 per macaron)
The violet cassis flavor was kind of terrible for me because I don’t like flowery macarons like rose, jasmine, etc (kind of like eating a flower). Although I tried the wrong flavor for my own personal taste, the macaron itself was well made. It had the right texture that a macaron should have–crispy outer shell, chewy inner shell, and creamy filling. Will be back for a different flavor next time!
