22 Ships Hong Kong

22 Ships is a Spanish tapas restaurant named after its location at 22 Ship Street and is owned by Michelin-starred chef Jason Atherton and hotelier and restaurateur Yenn Wong. The dishes tasted expectantly good and there’s not much more I can ask for when dishes taste exactly how I think they should taste.

Starbucks Red Bean Frappuccino

La Creperie Shanghai

La Creperie serves both salty and sweet crepes. Get the La Defi crepe for dessert.

Lao Sheng Chang Shanghai

老盛昌 Lao Sheng Chang serves Suzhou style food. Suzhou is so close to Shanghai I really couldn’t tell you what Suzhou specialties are that aren’t also Shanghai specialties. I’m not really sure how this place makes money because the food is cheap even for local standards. On top of that, the food tastes even better than the price you paid.

Din Tai Fung Shanghai

鼎泰豐 Din Tai Fung needs no introduction.

Shen Da Cheng Shanghai

My favorite wontons can be found here. A simple, yet delicious bowl of wonton soup with a freshness you can taste.

Shanghai Ren Jia

上海人家 Shanghai Ren Jia literally translates to Shanghai people’s home. This is most definitely my kind of food. The dishes here are all Shanghainese staples.

Uncle Tetsu

Short version: overrated, have to wait in line, ¥39 per cake, one cake per customer.

Da Hu Chun Shanghai

Sheng jian bao 生煎包, my greatest love. Da Hu Chun 大壶春 is one of my favorite places to eat sheng jian bao.
