Stopped by here while looking for more dessert… after having ice cream across the street at Le Creme Milano. They were also running a special between 1-5pm for a non-coffee drink and tiramisu combo with a 88 discount (12% off). Jackpot.
La Taverna serves lunch and dinner but I came between meal times to do some work. There are some great drinks and desserts and free wifi here for a quiet afternoon.
Milkshake: avocado, oatmeal, honey & milk (Small RMB¥28, Large RMB¥37; small shown)

Delicious. It’s more of a smoothie than a milkshake because there is no ice cream in this.

Signature dessert here. Heard it was good via Foursquare and indeed it was. Light and tasty.
hit the nail on the head re: quiet afternoon. it’s also open late – even past midnight and is a good place to go and work then too. i’ve been living in the area since the place opened, and the service has continued to improve!
