Pasha 帕夏土耳其餐厅 | Dianping
Address: 南昌路262号(近瑞金二路) – 262 Nanchang Rd near Ruijin No. 2 Rd (卢湾区 Luwan District)
Date visited: 2013.08 for dinner
Total bill: RMB¥438for three people
Will return: Maybe

Turkish food–no urge to ever eat it but I accept it if someone else wants to try it. I don’t have too much basis for comparison when it comes to Turkish food but Pasha was good generally speaking. I think Pasha will provide satisfactory Turkish food for those who want it but it won’t convert anyone to Turkish food. We went with the recommended dishes on the menu and were very full by the end of dinner.

Bread (Complimentary)

Pasha Shanghai

Gunun Corbasi (RMB¥35) soup of the day
I think this was some sort of lentil or potato soup. Flavor was not really memorable.

Pasha Shanghai

Kuru Patlican Dolmasi (RMB¥68) 6 months sun-dried eggplant stuffed with meat, rice, pomegranate sauce and spices
Recommend: yes
I love eggplant so this was an obvious choice. I liked the sauce with the eggplant. Pretty good.

Pasha Shanghai

Lavash (Complimentary)
This flatbread came our way with butter and cheese after our appetizer. The cheese was very good.

Pasha Shanghai

Kusbasi ve Kasarli Pide (RMB¥65) beef pide with cheese, mushroom, tomato, pepper
Recommend: no
Basically a pizza. Nothing too out of the ordinary.

Pasha Shanghai

Pasha Ozel Karisik (RMB¥230) Pasha special mix kebap platter with 6 meats
Recommend: yes

This feeds two people they said… and it took three of us to finish it. I can’t imagine what the larger portion looks like (RMB¥450) and I don’t want to know. This was plenty.

The meats were well cooked and flavorful although aside from the chicken, I had a hard time differentiating the meats because they all tasted like lamb. They did taste good, just in a lamb-y way. So perhaps not recommended for those who don’t like lamb.

There were pitas underneath the meat and vegetables, which tasted especially good after the meat flavors had soaked through.
